Violet Dubois - Violin

BA (Hons) (RAM), MA (RCM)

Violet is a violinist of the highest calibre.  Receiving her early training in her home city of Toulouse, she has since studied at both the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music, graduating with First Class Honours and numerous performance prizes.

As well as orchestral work, Violet is actively involved in numerous chamber projects, giving regular recitals at venues including St Martin-in-the-Fields, the National Gallery, Southwark Cathedral, St Paul’s, St John’s Notting Hill and St Bride’s.

Violet also enjoys performing other styles of music, including contemporary pop with electric violin band String Diva, tango/hip-hop with Sahara, and sophisticated drum ‘n’ bass with Filthy Kicks (headlining at the Whirl-Y-Gig NYE Party).  Highlights include performances at Wembley Arena, Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Off the Tracks Festival, Rhythm Factory and Hootananny, and at the Royal Albert Hall with rapper Tinie Tempah.  She is rarely to be seen without a beaming smile, but admits to being a little bit of a diva underneath.

Violet's one true weakness is food.  She is unable to resist croissants, crispy bacon and lemon drizzle cake, and is currently awaiting treatment for a serious chocolate addiction.
